BreastScreen NSW provides free screening mammograms (breast x-rays) to women in NSW.
BreastScreen NSW is part of the national population-based breast cancer screening program, BreastScreen Australia. Our program is jointly funded by the Commonwealth and the NSW government and is managed by the Cancer Institute NSW, a part of NSW Health.
BreastScreen NSW invites women in NSW aged 50–74 to have a free breast screen every 2 years. Women aged 40–49 and over 74 are also welcome to attend.
Free breast screening is available in over 250 locations across NSW. This includes 50 screening clinics and 15 mobile vans visiting over 200 locations.
