Following Debbie’s breast cancer journey she reminds women that a mammogram only takes 10 minutes, and can make all the difference.
Debbie is a Mt Druitt woman and devoted advocate for breast cancer awareness. A screening mammogram detected Debbie’s breast cancer in the early stages, when the cancer was still very small, so Debbie has no scars where the tissue was removed.
Debbie credits her husband for being her ‘rock’ during her journey. Now Debbie says to women, “a mammogram takes 10 minutes, and 10 minutes is nothing compared to saving your life.”
