Lyn considers herself lucky that that her breast cancer was detected in the earliest stages. Her diagnosis reminded her of the important things in life.
Lyn lives on the North Shore of Sydney with her husband and is a mum to two sons. She is an active member of the Country Women’s Association and a volunteer guide dog puppy raiser.
Lyn’s story is a reminder of the importance of looking after your health, and why it’s important to not put things (like mammograms) off, even when you’re busy. While Lyn had a double mastectomy, she considers herself lucky that that her breast cancer was detected in the earliest stages, before it had spread to any other parts of her body and that she didn’t require any other invasive treatments such as chemotherapy.
